THROUGH 6 PM MONDAY…

.A long period south swell generated by a powerful storm in the
southern hemisphere will hold today, then gradually decline
tonight and Monday.

…HIGH SURF ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 6 PM HST MONDAY…

  • SURF…7 to 11 feet today, lowering to 6 to 8 feet Monday, for
    south facing shores of all islands.

  • TIMING…Peaking today, then slowly diminishing tonight and
    Monday.

  • IMPACTS…Moderate…Expect strong breaking waves, shore
    break, and rip currents making swimming difficult and
    dangerous.
    Instructions: Beachgoers, swimmers, and surfers should heed all advice given by ocean safety officials and exercise caution. Know your limits and seek ocean recreation areas best suited for your abilities.
