Kauai islandwide power out

There is an islandwide power outage on Kauai due to a technical problem at the island’s utility cooperative.

“KIUC is experiencing an island wide power outage due to a trip at our Kapaia Power Station,” a cooperative spokeswoman said in a press release. “We anticipate it could be two hours before all members are restored.”
