Body Discovered in Pahoa Fire
Hawaii County firefighters discovered a dead body at the scene of a Pahoa structure fire that caused $180,000 in damage early this morning.
The body was discovered as firefighters mopped up the fire to the one-story structure at 16-2421 Ainaloa Drive. But fire officials offered no information today.
The fire was reported at 1:23 a.m. and the first of 13 firefighters arrived at 1:34 a.m. to find the structure fully engulfed in flames. The blaze was extinguished at 2:05 a.m.
