Kekoa was lauded in this space as a freshman, and the only surprise is it took until her senior season with Kohala to be honored again.
It wasn’t a close call this time.
The right-hander has 42 strikeouts in four wins, but not all victories are created equally. She mowed down Waiakea on Saturday with 15 strikeouts, and drove in four runs with three hits as the Cowgirls ended the Warriors’ 42-game BIIF winning streak.
