PASSENGERS URGED TO GET DROPPED OFF AT THE AIRPORT AS SUMMER TRAVEL SEASON BEGINS
HONOLULU – The Hawaii Department of Transportation (HDOT) Airports Division advises travelers to get dropped off at the airport, in particular the Daniel K. Inouye International Airport (HNL), over the summer travel season from Memorial Day to Labor Day, rather than paying for parking.
The Terminal 1, Terminal 2 and International parking structures at HNL can reach capacity due to a limited number of parking stalls for construction projects and the growing popularity of electric vehicles, which park for free at Hawaii’s airports. While stalls tend to become available after 3:00 p.m. daily, passengers may save time by arranging plans to get dropped off.

Ellison Onizuka Kona International Airport at Keahole (KOA)
OVERVIEW
Public parking is available at Kona International Airport.
Automatic ticket dispensers issue parking tickets at the entrance to each parking area. Present the ticket to the cashier as you exit. To expedite your exit, please have your ticket, cash or credit card ready.

Lost ticket minimum per each 24 hour $15.00.
Monthly parking — Monthly parking based on calendar month. Purchase may be made from the 22nd of each month (no proration); $160.
Self-service drive up kiosks available.
Cash or a major credit card are acceptable forms of payment. No checks accepted.

ELECTRIC VEHICLE PARKING
Parking stalls reserved for use by electric vehicles are available in the main public parking lot.
The main public parking lot also includes an electric vehicle charging station which can provide service to two vehicles. The current charge for use of the electric vehicle charging station is $7.00 for 24 hours.
An electric vehicle on which an electric vehicle license plate is affixed is exempt from payment of parking fees.
ACCESSIBLE PARKING
Accessible parking spaces are available for persons holding valid placards. Accessible spaces are available in the main parking lot across the street from the terminal.
