COVID-19 information update for Friday morning, May 15th.
For your information, the Department of Health reports that for Hawaii Island today, that there are no new cases reported and all previously 75 tested positive cases have been cleared as recovered.
To all the health care organizations and supporting agencies, thank you, for your good work of planning and developing an island wide system of testing for the safety of the Hawaiian Island Community. Testing will continue and is needed to help develop a comprehensive database for health officials to stay on top of things so they can respond timely and appropriately.
For your information, a drive-thru testing will be held in South Kohala today at the Waimea District Park. Hours are from 9 this morning to one this afternoon. Thank you Premier Medical and supporting agencies for providing this free service.
A food-drop off will be held today in Puna at the Pahoa Community Center. Hours are from 10 this morning till 12 noon. Thank you, Hawaii Food Basket and their many contributors for this service and the police, Hawaii National Guard, and the State Sheriffs for helping.
Please, know how important it is to continue following the policies of prevention. The coronavirus is out there, and we need to work together to keep Hawaii Safe. Thank you for doing your part.
