Seafood Bar & Grill to Reopen June 16th
Kawaihae Seafood Bar & Grill plans to reopen June 16th.
Seafood Bar and Grill will reopen with social distancing, new sanitizing procedures, new remodeling, and other changes. Customers will need to generally sign in outside, before coming into the restaurant. You are required to wear a mask unless you are seated at your table or at the bar. The Waimea side door will be EXIT only, nobody will be allowed to come in on that side.
The tables have been reconfigured to allow more space; at least 6 feet between tables and bar. This change does present a new challenge. Seafood Bar can accomodate all parties of 4, even 5 is OK, and 6 is doable; but if you have a party of more than 6, it will be a very very long wait.
Many Island restaurants are not planning on opening up till July, August or even later as they cater to tourists. However, Seafood Bar has 60%-70% local customers, so they should be good to go. They do not plan to take reservations, so it will be on a first come, first serve basis.
