Roadblock was established

2 story Structure with the second story fully involved in fire. No one at scene. No other near by residenences exposed to fire/heat.

Pahoa Fire Station personnel, as well as HFD units from HPP, Kea’au, Haihai and Central  were dispatched to a structure fire. Upon arrival, first in company found a two story residence, with the second floor fully involved with fire. The residence, built in 1988 had 1,932 sq. ft of living area and a large ~500 sq ft 2nd floor wrap around lanai. It was built on a high point on the lot. Initial scene size-up performed without any exposures noted and no occupants at scene. The door and windows of the bottom story were noted to be boarded-up with plywood. HELCO power lines were connected to the structure, but was later determined (per HELCO) to be disconnected at the street power pole. The fire was extinguished and overhauled without any injuries. The scene was left in care of HPD and HFD Fire Inspector to determine cause.
