Crews from the Hawaii Fire Department and The State Department of Forestry and Wildlife are fighting a 1400 acres brushfire in Paauilo. Operations continued all night to stop the fire from jumping the Pohakea road fire break and prevent the fire from threatening Paauilo Makua. The fire is currently 90% contained but dry wildland brush and expected weather conditions require a close watch. Operations are expected to run for several days.
