11 HFD apparatus; 21 HFD personnel
Diver reported to have fallen 50 feet from cliffside into ocean. Reporting party lost visual so called 911.
Two HFD Engine companies and a Rescue company, along with the East Side Battalion Chief, Chopper 1, and Rescue Boat 2 responded to a report of a male diver who fell off a cliff into the ocean. Co. 1 personnel contacted RP (diver’s friend) who provided location information. Chopper 1 crew were able to locate and extricate patient to awaiting Medic crew. Patient was then treated and transported by M-1 to HMC ER in critical condition. HPD were on scene interviewing RP for information. All HFD units and personnel cleared scene after transport of patient.
