This is a Civil Defense message.
This is a COVID-19 informational update on Friday, September 3rd.
For Hawaii County, the Department of Health reports 131 new cases and 1,823 active cases with 66 persons hospitalized.
Wide-spread community and travel related transmission of the Coronavirus continues to strain critical, limited medical resources. We can slow the spread of this virus. But, we all need to kokua and make an individual effort to limit personal activity to essential only. Stay home when possible. Always wear face masks, maintain physical distance, wash hands often, and avoiding social gatherings.
On testing today, a community clinic is scheduled at Kona Aquatic Center from 1 PM to 5 PM.
For tomorrow, Saturday, community testing and vaccination clinics are scheduled as follows;
In Hilo, testing at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium from 9 AM to 1 PM.
Also in Hilo, vaccination and testing at Hilo Lanes from 9 AM to 2 PM.
In Kona, vaccination and testing at Kona International Market from 9 AM to 1 PM.
And, in Kohala, vaccination and testing at Waimea District Park from 12 PM to 4 PM.
Know that vaccination and testing is not limited to these scheduled community clinics. For a comprehensive calendar and list of all clinics and pharmacies providing vaccination and testing, please visit the Civil Defense website. Civil Defense: www.hawaiicounty.gov
Knowing the current situation, please be considerate to others and do your part to stop the virus by getting vaccinated.
Thank you for listening. Have a safe day.
