This is a COVID-19 informational update for Wednesday, September 22^nd.

For Hawaii County, the Department of Health reports 38 new cases and 1065 active cases, with 34 persons hospitalized.

Thank you for doing your part to reduce the spread of Coronavirus. We need to continue our efforts as the virus continues to be transmitted within our communities. Please follow the preventive measures of wearing face coverings, maintaining physical distancing, limiting gatherings and staying home when you are sick.

For today, a community Testing Clinic is scheduled in Hilo at Afook-Chinen Civic Auditorium from 2 pm – 6 pm.
