SUBMIT TESTIMONY ON AMENDED BILL 41
RELATING TO SHORT-TERM VACATION RENTALS

The Hawai‘i Tourism Authority continues to support state and county efforts to eliminate illegal vacation rentals. This is in alignment with our 2025 Strategic Plan, Action A of our O‘ahu Destination Management Action Plan (DMAP), and our kuleana to Mālama Ku‘u Home (Care For My Beloved Home).

The Honolulu City Council’s Committee on Zoning and Planning will be holding a special hearing on Bill 41 addressing short-term vacation rentals at 9:00 A.M., THURSDAY, JANUARY 20.

We encourage the visitor industry and community to track and offer testimony on the proposed Bill 41 CD1 introduced by Chairman Brandon Elefante. Click here for the agenda.

To provide oral testimony during the online meeting via Zoom, visit www.zoom.us, click “Join,” enter ID 98283806262, and complete the registration process. Remote testimony will be taken at the start of the agenda and then closed.
