HAWAI‘I COUNTY TRANSIENT ACCOMMODATIONS TAX PAYMENT DEADLINE
Hawaiʻi County reminds taxpayers operating hotels, vacation rentals, bed & breakfasts, and timeshares projects that the deadline to pay the new 3% Hawai‘i County Transient Accommodations Tax (HCTAT) for guest stays during the month of January is February 22. Payments that are postmarked on or before February 22, 2022, will be considered timely. Those mailed late will be subject to penalties and interest.
Payments may also be made online at www.hawaiicountiestat.us. Taxpayers will not be required to file a separate return to the County. However, separate payments must be submitted. Additional information about the new HCTAT can be found on our website www.hawaiicounty.gov/tat.
