Official Report….1873 Kaiao Street Hilo, HI Residential Structure Fire

10 HFD apparatus; 21 HFD personnel

Cause is under Investigation

Loss $233400.00

Single family dwelling

Above HFD resources reponded to a report of a residential structure fire at the noted location. Upon arrival found heavy smoke exiting from under the eaves of the structure. Entry was gained into the structure and the fire was extinguished. Primary and secondary searches revealed no one was home at the time. Salvage and overhaul was conducted and the scene was released to HPD and HFD inspectors for investigation.
