Arthur Joe Logan named new HPD chief
HONOLULU — After about an hour of deliberation following a final day of testimony, the Honolulu Police Commission selected Arthur Joe Logan as the new leader of the Honolulu Police Department.
In announcing his selection, Honolulu Police Commission chair Shannon Alivado pointed out there were still some steps needed before it’s official.
“For the record, it is a conditional offer,” she said. “Mr. Logan or candidate Logan needs to go through some medical clearance and with respect to any other requirements before he is officially accepted into the position.”
