Official Report….North of 97 MM Near the Ocean Brush Fire

Units were dispatched to the area of the 97MM for a report of a structure fire burning below the highway. Access to the fire was finally found with some difficulty. Approx. 1.5 miles down a 4×4 road access was made to the fire area. Initially a vehicle burned near a residence that turned into a brush fire involving approximately 1 acre of brush. Crews put out the fire using helicopter bucket drops from the ocean, hand tools and back pack water pumps. No structures were involved. No Injuries.
