Middle and high school students get a boost at Construction Career Days

HONOLULU — Middle and high school students will get a practical and valuable firsthand look at career and educational opportunities in Hawaii’s construction industry at the 14th Annual Hawaii Construction and Career Days, 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sept. 29 and 30 at Aloha Stadium’s lower Halawa lot.

    • The 14th Annual Hawaii Construction and Career Days takes place 8:30 a.m.-12:30 p.m. Sept. 29-30
    • The event is open to middle and high school students
  • Students will get to speak with representatives from various industries and try their hand at operating heavy equipment under supervision

Funded by the Federal Highway Administration along with corporate and union sponsors, the event is co-sponsored by the Department of Transportation, and is part of Gov. David Ige administration’s workforce development efforts to prepare Hawaii students for future careers.
