Hawaii volleyball team sweeps UC Irvine for sole possession of first in Big West
HONOLULU — Robyn Ah Mow allowed herself a moment to smile Friday night as her Rainbow Wahine overcame a sluggish week of practice to perform when the lights were on.
Hawaii got an emphatic performance from its middles in a 25-17, 25-19, 25-13 sweep of UC Irvine at SimpliFi Arena to move into sole possession of first place in the Big West at 5-0 (8-5 overall).
“I don’t know what happened the last two (practices) … they get me angry, and then they come back and, they just get dialed,” Ah Mow told Spectrum Sports afterward.
