This is a Civil Defense Flood Advisory message for Friday afternoon October 28th.
The National Weather Service has issued a Flood Advisory for the Districts of Ka`u, South Kona, North Kona, and Saddle Road.
A Flood Advisory means local flooding can occur.
Due to the Flood Advisory, the following are issued:
All Residents in flood prone areas are asked to remain alert for flooding conditions.
Heavy rainfall and ponding can cause hazardous driving conditions.
Be aware that road closures may occur without warning.
Do not attempt to cross flowing water in your vehicle or on foot; turn around don’t drown.
You will be informed of changes in conditions that may affect your safety.
