• • The Maui Jim Maui Invitational college basketball tournament returns to its longtime home after a two-year pandemic hiatus starting Monday in the first round of the 2022 tournament at the 2,400-seat Lahaina Civic Center

• • Five of eight teams in the field are ranked: No. 9 Arkansas, No. 10 Creighton, No. 14 Arizona, No. 17 San Diego State and No. 23 Texas Tech

• • All four first-round games will be televised on ESPN2 and the remaining winner’s bracket games Tuesday and Wednesday are on ESPN
