Hawaii women’s volleyball team clinches share of Big West title on senior night
The Hawaii women’s volleyball team sent off Mylana Byrd with a going-away present.
UH clinched a share of the Big West title on Sunday’s senior night with a 25–13, 25–10, 25-12 rout of Cal State Bakersfield, then honored the team’s backup setter in a traditional ceremony.
UH (20-6, 17-1 Big West), with 6,590 tickets issued at SimpliFi Arena, left no doubt against a team it struggled to put away in a five-setter on the road on Oct. 14. It was the third straight season, not including the 2020 campaign that was lost to the pandemic, that UH clinched a least a share of the conference crown.
