This is a Road Closure message for Friday, February 10 at 6 AM.

Hawaii Police Department reports Highway 19 closed in two locations near Waimea due to a downed utility pole near Napa Auto Parts in Waimea and due to a disabled fuel tanker between Honoka`a and Waimea.

Both lanes in both locations are closed and expected to remain closed this morning for several hours.

Detours are established through Ahualoa near Honoka`a and in Waimea near Napa Auto Parts that can only accommodate smaller vehicles.

All motorists planning to travel to Waimea along the Hamakua coast are encouraged to take alternates routes until Highway 19 is reopened.
