Dozens Of Firefighters Help Rescue A Dog That Fell Through The Ice In Sub-Zero Temperatures
Firefighters rescued a dog from a frozen pond in Massachusetts.
They believe he was in the pond for 20 minutes.

Members of the Wareham Fire Department responded to a call about a dog that had fallen through the ice sub-zero temperatures.
Crews arrived to the Red Brook Wildlife Management area at 7:19 a.m. on Saturday.

On arrival, Assistant Chief Mark Rogers observed a dog struggling in the water at least 150 feet from the shore.

“The crew of Engine 1, Captain Micky Bird, along with Firefighters Chris Barrasso, Chris Callinan and Alex Estes quickly deployed onto the ice, rescuing the dog,” the department said in a statement.

After Wareham EMS stabilized Dakota, the dog was seen warming up in a rescue vehicle.

The dog was taken to an area veterinarian for further treatment and is expected to make a full recovery.
