BIIF releases All-League basketball teams

On the boys’ side of DII, the All-League first team consisted of; Ka‘u junior forward TJ Faafia, Kohala junior forward Landon Kauka, Kohala freshman guard Layden Kauka, Ka‘u sophomore center Kaimana Kaupu-Maniniand and Honokaa junior guards Kiandray Rideout and Mauloa Tagabi.

The younger Kauka was DII Player of the Year, and DII Coach of the Year was Kohala’s Kihei Kapeliela.

The DII boys Second Team included; Kohala senior center Trever Figueroa, Honokaa senior forward and center Michael Gonsalves, Kohala sophomore forward Jayden Hook, Hawai‘i Prep junior guard Michael House, Ka‘u sophomore center Sam Landers and Kohala sophomore guard Isaac Libron-Salvador.

Honorable mentions were; Hawai‘i Preps’ Bruce Lee and Cam Root, Honokaa’s Elijah Kaupu-Alip, Aka Spencer and Kukia Tagabi — Ka‘u’s Emman Badua, Jaesten Karasuda and Jenson Navarro-Villa — Kohala’s Easton Hoshida and Pahoa’s Kukui Ahin-Ganir, Chelson Dawana-DelaCruz, Bobby Ganiron, Chris Kaawaloa-Alidon and Kailen Kamakeeaina.
