Low levels of contaminant detected in Haleakala National Park’s water
HONOLULU — For the first time, low levels of 2,4-Dichlorophenoxyacetic acid were recently detected during routine sampling of the Haleakala National Park drinking water system, according to a Hawaii State Department of Health news release.
The agency said the HNP system is a small community system that serves approximately 1,200 people in Kula, Maui.
