MAYOR ROTH RECOGNIZES OUTSTANDING ACHIEVEMENTS OF THREE HAWAIʻI ISLAND RESIDENTS NAMED AS 2023 MOST ADMIRED LEADERS
Hawaiʻi County Mayor Mitch Roth is proud to congratulate three remarkable Hawaiʻi Island residents who have been honored by Pacific Business News as members of the prestigious 2023 cohort of Hawaiʻi’s Most Admired Leaders. These individuals have been recognized for their exceptional contributions to Hawaiʻi through their dedication, innovation, and leadership within their respective organizations and communities.
The three honorees from Hawaiʻi Island are:
- Breeani Sumera-Lee, Executive Director, Hawaiʻi Rise Foundation
- Rich Matsuda, Interim Observatory Director, W.M. Keck Observatory
- Dr. Sulma Gandhi, Hawaiʻi Health Program Officer, Stupski Foundation
Breeani, Rich, and Sulma are among the distinguished group of twenty-seven executives selected for their outstanding efforts in making Hawaiʻi a better place through their professional and community efforts.
The Most Admired Leaders Awards, formerly known as the Business Leadership Hawaiʻi awards, are presented by Pacific Business News. This prestigious recognition celebrates exceptional executives who have demonstrated a profound impact within their organizations and communities. The 2023 honorees represent a diverse range of industries, including nonprofits, education, health care, and real estate.
Mayor Mitch Roth expressed his sincere appreciation for the dedication and leadership demonstrated by Breeani Sumera-Lee, Rich Matsuda, and Dr. Sulma Gandhi, emphasizing their significant contributions to the betterment of Hawaiʻi Island. The 2023 Most Admired Leaders awards ceremony will take place on Thursday, November 9, at the Alohilani Resort Waikiki Beach.
