16 sheep freed after alleged poachers were cited for not having a hunting license
Sixteen sheep were freed on Hawaii Island after alert officers from the DLNR Division of Conservation and Resources Enforcement cited alleged poachers, according to a news release.
On Tuesday in the early morning hours before the sunrise, the officers were driving on Daniel K. Inouye Highway (also known as Saddle Road) when they saw a pair of men who had with them three male sheep. The men did not have a valid hunting license.
