Murals to be painted at a Waipahu intersection with the goal of improving pedestrian safety
The Bloomberg Philanthropies Asphalt Art Initiative awarded the City and County of Honolulu a $25,000 grant to help improve pedestrian safety in Waipahu, according to a news release.
The Department of Transportation Services Complete Streets Program and Better Block Hawaii, a nonprofit, will use the grant to improve the pedestrian crossing at Leoku and Leolua Streets, which is near the Hoaeae West Loch Skyline Station.
