Alert: Hydrologic Outlook issued November 26 at 3:58AM HST by NWS Honolulu
…HEAVY RAIN AND FLASH FLOODING POSSIBLE FROM TUESDAY THROUGH
SATURDAY FOR ALL HAWAIIAN ISLANDS…
A kona low will develop west of Kauai producing periods of heavy
rainfall. The duration and intensity of rainfall will bring the
potential for flooding impacts as early as Tuesday for Kauai and
Oahu, and from Wednesday onward across the entire state of Hawaii.
It is too soon to forecast island by island rainfall amounts or
where the heaviest rain may fall. However, southern slopes of
each island may see the highest rainfall amounts in this kona low
weather pattern.
Keep up to date with the latest forecast information through the
Internet (weather.gov/hawaii), local media, social media, or NOAA
Weather Radio broadcasts.
An updated outlook will be issued by 6 PM HST Sunday or sooner if
necessary.
