11-30-23 (Update #2) Police Renew Request For Endangered Kailua-Kona Woman Kunzang Yuthok

Hawai‘i Island police are again renewing their request for the public’s assistance in locating 65-year-old Kunzang Yuthok. She was reportedly last seen on the morning of Monday, November 20, 2023, in Old Airport Park in Kailua-Kona. Her family is deeply concerned for her well-being and is offering a cash reward for information that may lead to her whereabouts.

Yuthok is described as Asian with a medium complexion, 5-feet 3-inches tall, 110-pounds, with salt and pepper hair and brown eyes. She was wearing a black top and shorts, a cap, and light blue running shoes.

Police are also requesting anyone who was surfing at Old Kona Airport on Monday, November 20, 2023 between 8:30 a.m.-11:00 a.m. at surf spots known as Pavilions, Middles, Randoms and/or Superbowl’s, to contact Detective Carrie Akina.

Police ask anyone who may have information on Yuthok’s whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency number at (808) 935-3311, or Detective Corrie Akina of the Area II Criminal Investigations Section at (808) 326-4646 x.277 or email Carrie.Akina@hawaiicounty.gov.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island-wide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00.
