HAWAIʻI COUNTY NOTIFIES PUBLIC OF TEMPORARY PHONE DISRUPTIONS

Hawaiʻi County informs the public of a temporary disruption in phone service affecting some of the County’s phone lines. This disruption is due to a vendor issue that is currently being addressed.

“We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause and want to assure the public that we are actively working to resolve the issue,” said Cyrus Johnasen, Public Information Officer.

While the phone service is being restored, residents are encouraged to use alternative methods of communication, such as email or visiting County offices in person, if assistance is needed. Emergency services, including 911, remain fully operational and are not affected by this disruption.

Hawaiʻi County thanks the community for their understanding and patience during this time.
