I believe the key issue is the lack of real consequences for officials who break public trust. When taxpayers are left footing the bill for unethical behavior, it undermines the integrity of the system. We need stronger accountability measures in place to ensure that public servants are held to higher ethical standards.
I’m tired of watching Hawai‘i taxpayers foot the bill for officials who violated the public trust. I plan to follow these updates and contact my legislators to push for stronger consequences and true transparency so we stop rewarding misconduct.
