A $20 Early Bird admission is 8-9 a.m. and offers up to 100 attendees exclusive first access to sale plants and a complimentary cup of coffee. Buy early bird tickets available now at https://konaorchidsociety.squarespace.com.
The highlight of the show is a wide selection of locally grown orchids hailing from across Hawai‘i Island. Talk story with mom and pop growers for proven growing tips and choose from select orchid-care supplies.
“In addition to oodles of orchids, the sale offers cactus and succulents, air plants, bamboo, fruit, forest and exotic trees; native species, protea, herb and veggie starts and exciting landscape plants like Brindabella roses,” says KOS organizer Bob Zeller of Ocean View.
Also for sale will be a wide variety of crafted merchandise: jewelry—including resin orchid flowers and black pearls, functional stoneware, handmade pottery, plus handbags and accessories.
KONA ORCHID SOCIETY—A non-profit organization, the mission of the Kona Orchid Society is “educating our members and the public about the collection, culture and appreciation of orchids.” Since 1985, KOS has promoted fellowship among orchid enthusiasts.
