AVOID Kawaihae Road between Akoni Pule Hwy and Queen Kaahumanu Hwy for the next 2 hours due to a brush fire. A vehicle traveling on Kawaihae Road experienced a tire blowout which caused the vehicle’s rim to emit sparks which ignited the brush fire. HFD is on scene working to extinguish the fire.
