Two story residential structure fire 25-30% involved.
Location was on the 2nd floor bedroom.
The cause of this fire is under investigation
Three Engine companies responded to an occupied, two story residential structure fire on
Kawailani street. Upon arrival found second story 25-30% involved, with flames coming out of
bedroom window and heavy smoke throughout the top floor. All residents self evacuated prior
to arrival. HFD personnel made an offensive attack and was able to contain flames to the
building and floor of origin. Fire under control 40 minutes after arrival, with overhaul of the
structure following. Scene turned over to HPD and HFD Fire Investigator. There were no
injuries reported.
