10-24-22 Runaway Garmon-Mercado Located, Runs Away Again
Hawai‘i Island police report that 17-year-old Kelis Garmon-Mercado, who was previously reported as a runaway (#22-091302), was located in Hilo on Thursday, October 20, 2022, in good health. However, she subsequently ran away again (#22-093678) and the police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating her.
Garmon-Mercado was last seen in the 1700 block of Kinoole Street in Hilo, on Friday, October 21, 2022, at 6:25 p.m. wearing a grey hooded sweater, blue and white striped dress, black shoes, and carrying a blue Walmart re-usable bag.
She is described as local, 5 feet 6 inches tall, 250 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.
Police ask anyone with information on her whereabouts to call the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311.
