U.S. Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland visits Iolani Palace
HONOLULU — On Monday, Iolani Palace received a visit by U.S. Secretary of the Interior Deb Haaland, who was in Hawaii as part of President Biden’s “Investing in America” tour, according to a news release.
Following traditional Hawaiian protocol to welcome U.S. Secretary Haaland, the Friends of Iolani Palace Executive Director Paula Akana took Haaland on a special tour that included an area not usually open to the public — the roof.
