The National Weather Service has extended the High Surf Advisory for East Facing Shores of Hawaii Island, from Upolu Pt. in North Kohala to Cape Kumukahi in Puna through today.
Higher than normal surf, shore break, and dangerous currents can make swimming difficult and dangerous.
Beach-goers, swimmers, and surfers, please heed all advice given by ocean safety officials, and exercise caution when entering the water.
