The National Weather Service High Surf Warning continues for north and east facing shores of Hawaii Island, from Upolu Point in North Kohala to Cape Kumukahi in Puna through Sunday. .
A High Surf Warning means large breaking surf, significant shore break, and dangerous currents can cause injury or death.
Due to the High Surf Warning, please be advised:
- Property along north and east facing shores should prepare for high surf.
- Beach-goers, swimmers, and surfers should heed all instructions given by Ocean Safety Officials.
- Beach parks may close without notice
