Hawaii volleyball tops UC Santa Barbara in 4 to reclaim sole possession of 1st
HONOLULU — The Hawaii women’s volleyball team hurdled a roadblock in the top blocking team in the Big West.
UH, a week after stumbling in a four-set loss at Cal Poly, righted itself with a four-set victory over another contender, UC Santa Barbara, in front of a “White-Out” crowd of 5,931 on Saturday night at SimpliFi Arena.
Following up on a runaway over CSUN on Friday, the Rainbow Wahine (12-6, 9-1 Big West) closed out the 25-21, 20-25, 25-18, 25-22 decision over the Gauchos in reasonably convincing fashion to move back into sole possession of first place in the conference at the halfway point of league play.
