Fewer Hawaii residents are getting COVID-19 booster shots, report says

COVID-19 positivity is increasing in Hawaii, and fewer Hawaii residents are getting the booster shot.

The findings come from the latest public health report from UHERO, a research organization at the University of Hawaii, which was released on Jan. 5, 2023. A survey of 1,627 Hawaii residents over the age of 18 from Nov. 2022 was used to create the report. UHERO compared the results of the survey to their previous report that was conducted in May and came out on June 20, 2022. The researchers are regularly surveying a group of 2,000 adult residents in the state.
