Agricultural Visioning Event
Vibrant Hawaiʻi has collaborated with the County of Hawaiʻi, Kahua Paʻa Mua, and the North Kohala CDP Subcommittee on Agriculture to plan and host two agriculture-related events on March 25th, 2023 for the North Kohala community.
Here are the details for each event:
Kohala Agricultural Visioning, 9am-12pm: All stakeholders are invited to participate in this interactive event to help design and plan a sustainable future for Kohala. This event will feature service providers with information and resources to support farmers, ranchers, landowners, and anyone interested in agriculture. Neutral facilitators from the County of Hawaiʻi will lead interactive discussions to craft a strategic vision forward. The information gathered will be shared with the community for review and feedback.
A Taste of Kohala, 3:30pm-6:30pm: A community celebration showcasing locally grown produce, Kohala raised meats, and farm to table products sourced right from Kohala, plus live music and entertainment.
If you are interested in joining the Agricultural Visioning event, please REGISTER HERE as a community participant, a service provider, or as a vendor for the Taste of Kohala. All registrants will be entered for a raffle with prizes that have been generously donated by local vendors and farmers.
The “Taste of Kohala” event will be open to the public. You do not need to register to attend.
