HAWAIʻI COUNTY ANNOUNCES 2023 EASTER EVENTS
The Hawai‘i County Department of Parks and Recreation is pleased to announce Easter egg hunt events on Friday, April 7, 2023. The events will occur at Dr. Francis F.C. Wong Stadium and Pa‘auilo Gym. Both events are free and open to the public.
The Biggest Easter Egg Hunt will be held in Hilo at the Dr. Francis F.C. Wong Stadium. Gates open at 8:00 a.m. with many family activities, and the egg hunt begins at 10:00 a.m. Hunters will be divided into age groups (4-5 year-olds, 6-8 year-olds, 9-12 year-olds) to search for over 17,000 eggs, each containing a special prize. The event is made possible by partnerships with the Kiwanis Club of East Hawai‘i, Hilo High School Key Club, and Waiākea High School Key Club.

The Pa‘auilo Easter Egg Hunt will be held at the Paʻauilo Gym. Gates open at 9:00 a.m., and the egg hunt begins at 9:30 a.m. Hunters will be divided into age groups (2-4 year-olds, 5-8 year-olds, 9-12 years-olds) to search for eggs, each having a special prize inside. The event is made possible by a partnership with Hāmākua-Kohala Health.
