Hawaii baseball tops UC Davis in rare Thursday series opener
HONOLULU — An all-around solid performance from the Hawaii baseball team allowed it to register a victory in a rare Thursday conference game.
With the first two games of a Big West series against UC Davis bumped up a day because of UH spring graduation on Saturday, the Rainbow Warriors jumped on the Aggies in the sixth inning to come back for a 5-3 win at Les Murakami Stadium.
Matt Wong broke the seal with an RBI single up the middle in the fifth, Kyson Donahue led off the sixth with a home run to center, his team-best seventh of the season, followed by the go-ahead two-run double from Dallas Duarte.
