...HEAVY RAIN AND FLASH FLOODING POSSIBLE FROM TUESDAY INTO THE
WEEKEND...
A low pressure system will develop west of the islands early this
coming week bringing the potential for widespread heavy rainfall.
The duration and intensity of rainfall will bring the potential for
flooding impacts as early as Tuesday for Kauai, and Wednesday onward
for the remainder of the area.
It is too soon to forecast rainfall amounts or where the heaviest
rain may fall, but leeward areas are as likely to experience heavy
rainfall as windward areas.
Keep up to date with the latest forecast information through the
Internet (weather.gov/hawaii), local media, social media, or NOAA
Weather Radio broadcasts.
An updated outlook will be issued by 6 AM HST Sunday or sooner if
necessary.
