Free grant-funded Nutrition Grown® Soil course for Hawaiʻi Island farmers
A free, asynchronous online soil improvement course is being offered by Dr. Jana Bogs to improve crop health and yields, nutritional content, flavor, appearance, and shelf life. Certification will be offered upon completion. Responsibilities include watching videos, participation in monthly Zoom call meetings, and access to side-by-side experimental and control growing land plots (500 square feet). The Kona Coffee Farmers Association (KCFA) is having their annual symposium and member meeting on March 1 at the Outrigger Kona Resort & Spa in Kailua-Kona.
