Community: 11-06-24 Police Request Assistance Identifying Waikoloa Theft Suspects

Hawai’i Island police are requesting the public’s assistance in identifying two suspects captured on video surveillance that were responsible for a Theft in Waikoloa.

The theft occurred on Sunday afternoon, September 29, 2024, at approximately 6:16 p.m., at a business located in the Waikoloa Highlands shopping center, off of Paniolo Avenue in Waikoloa.  The adult female suspect was observed to have a tan complexion with medium length dark brown hair, wearing a white colored top, light blue jean shorts, and sandals.  The male was observed to have a tan complexion with short, dark hair, and a beard, wearing a black long sleeve shirt, dark colored board shorts and slippers. Both suspects were accompanied by 2 children. The suspects stole approximately $165.00 worth of grocery items.

Police ask anyone who may be able to identify the suspects captured in the photos or who may have information relative to this case to contact Officer Jessica Cook of the South Kohala District by calling the police department’s non-emergency line at (808) 935-3311 or via email at jessica.cook@hawaiicounty.gov.

Tipsters who prefer to remain anonymous may call the island-wide Crime Stoppers number at 961-8300 and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.00.
