The National Weather Service in Honolulu has issued a Fire Weather Watch for wind and low relative humidity, which is in effect from Friday morning through Friday afternoon. * AFFECTED AREA…Leeward portions of all Hawaiian Islands. * TIMING…From Friday morning through Friday afternoon. * WINDS…Northeast to east 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 50 mph. * RELATIVE HUMIDITY…As low as 40 to 50 percent. * IMPACTS…A combination of strong winds, low relative humidity, and dry fuels can contribute to extreme fire behavior.
