Proposals for the Department of Research and Development Impact Grants for Fiscal Year 2024-2025, must be received on or before 4:30 p.m. Hawaiʻi-Aleutian Standard Time, Wednesday, January 8, 2025, via the Department of Research and Development’s online Grant Portal posted on its webpage www.hawaiicounty.gov/impact. Proposals will only be accepted online.
Pursuant to Chapter 103D, Hawaiʻi Revised Statutes (“HRS”), The Hawaiʻi County (“County”) Department of Research and Development (“Department”) is requesting proposals for Impact Grant awards for the 2024-2025 fiscal year. The intent of the grant program is to support research, programs, or projects that positively impact the areas of agriculture and food systems, business and industry development, community well-being, energy, film and creative industries, and regenerative tourism, within Hawaiʻi Island communities.
Proposal specifications and special provisions can be obtained at the Department’s Impact Grant webpage at www.hawaiicounty.gov/impact or by calling (808) 961-8366. An informational webinar will take place on Wednesday, November 27, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. Registration is not required. A link to the webinar will be posted on the Impact Grant Webpage at www.hawaiicounty.gov/impact.
The deadline for submitting written questions is Friday, December 13, 2024. Please refer to Submission of Questions, Section 1.7 of the RFP for complete instructions.
All proposals reviewed and recommended for funding by the Department shall be subject to the County’s executive and legislative review of the Department’s budget for fiscal year 2024-2025. Notification of the Department’s approval and recommendation for funding will be made by Monday, January 20, 2025.
